Fracking boom triggers water battle in North Dakota
Mon May 20, 2013
Sad to see we have become so addicted to oil and gas that we are willing to sacrifice the two things absolutely critical to life... water and air. And not far behind that, our food supplies.
Apple CEO wants lower taxes in exchange for job creation
Fri May 17, 2013
Cook - Lying hypocrite POS. There is no connection between lower taxes and higher employment. Corporations are already paying historically low taxes and they're not hiring. And Apple has a documented history of offshoring their revenue to avoid taxes (and jobs for US citizens).
2016 notebook: Republicans try to dent Clinton's armor
Fri May 17, 2013
Tea-Republicans have nothing to offer the country, so they spend their time attacking everyone who isn't in their club and creating fantasies rather than doing their jobs. Sad, but not surprising given how they attract generally unintelligent and ignorant people.
If you win the $600 million Powerball, the tax man cometh
Fri May 17, 2013
Let's see... I win $600M for guessing a few numbers and give nearly half of it to the Gov. Not sure I could survive on the remainder alone. Or maybe I could if I budgeted my spending carefully... but only $330M. That's pretty slim. Wait... so what was the point of the article?
Banks to porn stars: Your money's not welcome
Fri May 17, 2013
The bank, she was told, was worried about the Webcam shows she had on her site and had revoked the account. ROFL... The bank thieves are watching her porn and judging where their money comes from. That's almost too funny to be true.

Fri May 17, 2013
Interesting as this is from a scientific and astronomy perspective, there is a danger in continually announcing these events so much to the public, especially when they are of no consequence directly to Earth... 'boy who called wolf' effect. When there really is something to report, it may be ignore …
Restaurants fear tough drunk-driving law will be buzzkill for light drinkers
Fri May 17, 2013
The amount of alcohol required for intoxication varies among individuals based on weight, tolerance and other factors. So we create laws for the lowest common denominator... just like television, education, and government. Idiocracy at work.
Expect millions of electric car charging stations by 2020
Fri May 17, 2013
ProBusiness - Another 5 or 10 years the markets and technology would be ready and developed WITHOUT government involvement.
Ax hovers over food stamp program as costs grow
Sun May 19, 2013
...lawmakers quoting Bible verses at each other and benefits for millions of people hanging in the balance. We've officially arrived at the 1700's. Good job on regressing. You now have the education and intelligence of your ancestors.
Energy future may be swamped in fracking wastewater, scientists warn
Thu May 16, 2013
Yep... as long as they're profitable, no problem. They'll just use those profits to invest in businesses that will sell you (almost) clean water... at a very profitable price. We are, after all, in full support of our plutocrat masters.
